Soy wax EcoSoya CB-Advanced

EcoSoya has been the favorite of candle makers for nearly 20 years. When NGI made the decision to close their business in 2019, they left a big gap in the soy wax market. In early 2020, British manufacturer Kerax acquired the brand and these popular soy waxes are happily available again.

EcoSoya CB-Advanced Soy is a container wax made from 100% soy and soy-based additives. Candles made with CB-Advanced are frost resistant, have smooth surfaces, excellent adhesion to glass, even burning and consistent color retention.

Melting and casting

EcoSoya CB-Advanced soy wax is specially designed for creating candles in containers. Pouring temperature should be appx. 65.6 °C

Avoid heating above 80°C. These temperatures can lead to discoloration of the wax, poor adhesion and irregular surface. Make sure to stir all the time and stir the wax even as it melts. After melting, let the wax cool to ~68°C-70°C, add the perfume and mix well until the wax reaches ~ 65.6 °C.

Wicks

Our recommendations for CB-Advanced. The TCR series of wicks produce excellent results with even flames and little "mushroom" formation. I also noticed that different candle dyes and scents affected the burn. As we always recommend, test candles with your desired flavor and color before making a large batch.

Dye

You can use liquid candle dyes or solid candle dyes specially created for soy wax. Bekro dyes are perfect for this type of wax.

Perfume

According to the manufacturer's specifications, EcoSoya CB-Advanced wax can hold up to 12% fragrance oils, but we recommend loading 9%-10%. Keep in mind that being a 100% plant-based product, the combustion can be influenced by any other product added to the mixture (no perfume, dye).
