This premium quality soy wax is specially developed for the production of container candles. It is biodegradable and environmentally friendly. No animal products were used and no animal testing was carried out in its manufacture.
Kerasoy Pillar 4120 soy wax is specially designed for creating candles in silicone molds and forms. The pouring temperature should be between 55 °C-60 °C , depending on the geometry of the mold.
Avoid heating above 85°C. These temperatures can lead to wax discoloration, poor adhesion, and an uneven surface. Be sure to stir constantly and mix the wax even while it is melting. After melting, allow the wax to cool to ~60°C-68°C, add the fragrance, and mix well until the wax reaches ~55°C.
Pouring temperatures can vary depending on the type and size of the mold, the fragrance and colorant used, and the effects the candle maker wants to achieve. It is recommended to preheat the mold to 45 - 50 °C. The fragrance should be added and mixed immediately before pouring, around 60 °C. If you experience difficulty with the pouring temperature, try a lower or higher temperature in increments of 5 - 10 °C.
Given the sector for which Kerasoy Pillar 4120 wax will be used, it is recommended to use unwaxed, cotton wicks. Following our tests, bothTCR and SLT wicks were compatible with the wax.
If you notice a weak or unstable flame, try a different type of wick. Test burning should be done 48 hours after casting.
The molds should be clean and free of contaminants. They should be at least room temperature, although preheating them to 45°C-50°C can yield some amazing results. Warm ambient temperature (20°C), heated container and prevention of rapid temperature changes during cooling will reduce the likelihood of polymorphism/freezing.
You can use liquid candle dyes or solid candle dyes specifically designed for soy wax. Bekro dyes are perfect for this type of wax.
Kerasoy Pillar 4120 wax can hold up to 10% fragrances; both organic fragrance oils and essential oils. Keep in mind that being a 100% vegetable product, the burning can be influenced by any product added to the mixture (no. fragrance, colorant).
