Cargill NatureWax C3 soy wax

This premium quality soy wax is specially developed for the production of container candles. It is biodegradable and environmentally friendly. No animal products were used and no animal testing was carried out in its manufacture.

Melting and casting

The pouring temperature should be around 50 °C - 65 °C , depending on the geometry of the container.
Please note: NatureWax C3 soy wax is specifically designed for pouring into containers. It is not recommended for pouring into silicone molds.

Avoid heating above 85°C. These temperatures can lead to wax discoloration, poor adhesion, and an uneven surface. Be sure to stir constantly and mix the wax even while it is melting. After melting, let the wax cool to ~60°C-65°C, add the fragrance, and mix well until the wax reaches ~58°C.

Pouring temperatures can vary depending on the type and size of container, the fragrance and colorant used, and the effects the candle maker wants to achieve. Greater adhesion to containers can be achieved by pouring at a temperature close to the setting point (approximately 45 - 50 °C). The fragrance should be added and mixed immediately before pouring, around 60 °C. If you experience difficulty with the pouring temperature, try a lower or higher temperature in 5 - 10 °C increments. Consider pouring into preheated molds for better adhesion.

Wicks

Waxed wicks tend to work best with NatureWax C3, but clean wicks can also be used successfully. Following our tests, TCR wicks were specifically chosen for this wax. As well as wooden wicks, doubled for an optimized burn.

containers

The containers should be clean and free of contaminants. They should be at least room temperature, although preheating them to 40°C-50°C can yield some amazing results. Warm ambient temperature (20°C), heated container, and prevention of rapid temperature changes during cooling will reduce the likelihood of polymorphism/freezing.

Dye

You can use liquid candle dyes or solid candle dyes specifically designed for soy wax. Bekro dyes are perfect for this type of wax.

Perfume

NatureWax C3 wax can hold between 5% and 8% fragrances; both pure organic oils and essential oils.
