It is a blend made of soybeans carefully mixed with a unique plant-based emulsifier. Blend specially created for pouring candles into containers.
Applications:
When melted, European Golden Wax 464 looks paler than the American equivalent. Only when melted at a high temperature (70°C and above) does it reveal its distinctive golden tone. In addition, this wax exhibits exceptional forgiveness, allowing for higher temperature pouring and offering a greater range of pouring temperatures leading to excellent candle quality.
Avoid heating above 85°C. These temperatures can lead to discoloration of the wax, poor adhesion and irregular surface. Be sure to stir all the time and stir the wax even while it is melting (70-75 °C) . After melting, let the wax cool to 60°C, add the perfume and mix well. (over 65 °C, the perfume oil may evaporate)
Pouring temperatures can vary depending on the type and size of the container, the perfume and/or dye and the effects the candle maker wants to achieve. If you encounter difficulties with the pouring temperature, try a lower or higher temperature in steps of 5 - 10 °C.
Waxed wicks tend to work best with wax, but clean wicks can also be used successfully. Following our tests, TCR wicks were specially chosen for this wax. As well as the wooden wicks, doubled for a more optimized combustion.
The containers must be clean and without contaminating substances. They should be at least at room temperature, although preheating them to 30°C-35°C can bring some amazing results. Warm ambient temperature (18-20°C), heated container and prevention of rapid temperature changes during cooling will reduce the probability of polymorphism / freezing.
Attention : Do not use plastic or wooden containers!
You can use liquid or solid dyes specially created for soy wax.
Golden Wax by AAK 464 absorbs oils perfumed between 8% and 10% (do not exceed 11%) of the melted volume; both pure organic oils and essential oils. Be very careful with essential oils because it is possible that certain aromas can spoil the burning power of the wick.
